AnduinOS uses a clean three-layer approach to package management. The base system relies on Ubuntu packages for a stable core, while AnduinOS-specific components are managed through Apkg — our own lightweight package tool.
For user-facing applications, we've replaced Snap with Flatpak for sandboxed, cross-distro app delivery. This keeps your apps isolated from the system, saves disk space, and gives you access to a massive catalog. Of course, AppImage and traditional APT are always available when you need them.
